Mason' Seventh Birthday

I mean, I know I say this every year and every kids birthday, BUT...I can't believe it's been seven years since I became a mommy and we became a family. Every year just keeps going faster and faster and I am ever so grateful to be a mom! And, to be this kids mom, the best job ever. Mason decided he wanted birthday parties with family this year. Not yet ready for a "friends" party this year. I mean when you can celebrate at school, at home and then at your grandparents who needs another party :) This year it snowed and was VERY cold on his birthday. So, no school. That didn't stop us and just meant he could celebrate the next day with his friends. Prolonging the birthday festivities! Star Wars was the theme this year and legos were the hot birthday item. As Mason puts it "Mom, legos are my thing!".  Ha!

Mason, you are such a sweet and caring boy. You are great at helping your brothers and friends when they are in need. Your Dad and I are so proud of all the things you have accomplished in school and in all your activities throughout the year. You tend to be like me and like to be around others or have people to play with. You are beginning to test your boundaries with your words and comments but that, I think, is normal for now. Just don't get too used to it! You love to play legos, play anything Star Wars related and love being in nature. You are beginning to want to be a part of the grown-up conversations but I want to keep you little a bit longer :) One can tell you are the oldest child. Your giggle is infectious and we are so proud of your increase in self-confidence. You're in the silly posing stage and the lover of all words pertaining to bodily noises!  Hoping you continue to grow with such heart but maybe not too fast. We love you!
