A little taste of what this summer is going to be like. I can't wait!

Stone Soup Concert and a Zoo Field Trip
Mason's year of Kindergarten is coming to a close. Very quickly I think. He, on the other hand, is already counting the months until he starts First Grade. Slow down kiddo!! I do hope his love for school continues throughout his scholastic years. But, for this momma it's a happy time and sad time all rolled into one. This year has gone by in a blur. Mason has grown and learned so much and I am so excited for him! To mark the end of the year the Kindergarten classes at Richards put on a Stone Soup Opera. It really was cute and Mason got to play one of the town people. I was so surprised he even knew all the words to the songs :) Miles and I headed over to watch the Opera while Matthew and Daddy headed to the ball park for Max's ballgame. It was a beautiful night and I'm so glad I got a chance to watch Mason with his classmates.
Miles loves his big brother.
Me and my big guy!
The very next day Mason and I headed off to the zoo with his class. I was very lucky to get to spend the day with him just the two of us. Most of the time he's off to school for the majority of the day, then comes home to his role as big brother. I enjoyed getting to hang out with him and his class. It was fun to see him enjoy the zoo with his friends! I hope I get the chance to attend more field trips and class activities with him in the future!
A little pre- field trip selfie!
We got so close to the giraffe!
Mason and Sam
The new orangutan exhibit at the zoo is going to be so neat. We got just a surprise glimpse at it since it was not open yet. Thank goodness we have a zoo pass so we can go back!

Concert, Race and a Summer Day
Max's school concert was this past week. He did so well. And..I have to admit I was a bit surprised he knew all the songs. He just isn't the walking around the house singing type. I was really proud of him performing and it was so fun to see Mason excited for Max's performance. Matthew was glued to the show, dancing in his seat. Max, you did an awesome job! We are so proud of you!!
This past Sunday (Mother's Day) was wonderful. The weather was absolutely perfect for being outside. And..since it was a major holiday :) we pretty much spent most of the day outside. The boys planted flowers for me and enjoyed playing in the water.
My attempt at a brother photo after the concert. Bust!!
Mason and Max participated in their first race ever. The running club of Columbus puts on a kids Fun Run every year and the Tri Kappa group I'm involved in helps with the race. It was really fun and the boys had a great time. Mason is already asking when the next race will be. He ran the entire thing by himself while Max and I stayed together. They both did awesome. Slightly hoping they enjoy the races so it is something that we can do together!
Had to include this picture of Matthew. We grilled out on Sunday and enjoyed our first corn-on-the-cob of the summer. Usually we cut Matthew's corn off the cob. But..this time he wouldn't eat the corn unless it was on the cob. He chowed down!
MIles 4 Months
Yep. Four months already. Grow but stop growing!! Your 4 months appointment measured at 14lb 7 oz and 26 inches long. In the 25% for weight but 92% for height. The height must be where all your food is going! You are starting to roll over and are still getting up in the middle of the night to eat. I see bits of a tooth wanting to poke through which will help you since you're eating three meals a day now!! We're all exciting to watch you learn new things and grow.
Creek playing, The Circus and Randomness at home
We had a fun visit with cousins recently. Brandon and Tyler came to visit with Grandma for the weekend. Mason and Max LOVE to hang out with their cousins. It's time full of playing games, sword fights, battles and just plain boy craziness! This visit we headed down to the creek near our house while the little ones were napping. It was the perfect day of not too hot but just warm enough to brave the cold water. They had a blast and can't wait to visit Brandon and Tyler at their house to play in the creek they have not too far from their home.
The Circus came to town! Yes, really a circus. We didn't actually go to the performance but we did head out to the fairgrounds for the raising of the big top! We headed out with friends for the morning and ran into a lot of people we knew! It was pretty interesting to see the elephant raise the tent. It was also fun to get an up close look at a few of the animals without pushing through a crowd of people. Thinking next year we may try to see the actual performance. But, hey, it was pretty fun for free!!
Little Mason :) and Max
Max was all about riding the pony. Matthew, not so much. I have a feeling at the upcoming family reunion we'll have a hard time keeping Max off the big horses and Matthew from wanting to ride the ponies all day!
A few photos I didn't want to forget:
The boys got matching Norris City Fire shirts for Easter. They LOVE them. They all wear it at least once a week!
Getting so big!
Matthew has big shoes to fill!! And..his pacifier obsession. As we get closer to needing to get rid of them he is wanting them more. Brad zipped tied them together so he could have them all. This boys walked around like this for a few days!
Pure craziness!!
Opening Day and...an end to the Soccer Season
The past few weeks have been, how do I say it nicely, just plain hectic. Mason and Max both wanted to play soccer and t-ball this year. My thought "okay, soccer should end then baseball begin so we should be good." Yeah right! What I didn't factor in was the t-ball practices WHILE soccer season was still in full swing. AND, because they are both in a different age group that meant different teams and different nights of practice. We pretty much had something every night of the week and Saturday mornings. Craziness. It IS really fun though to see them playing sports and having fun with other teammates. This year Mason expanded his comfort zone and really got into the games of both sports. Max, well, he was more interested in the social time. Making sure that the opposing team's coach noticed they airplanes flying over the soccer field :) From what I'm told at this age it is perfectly normal and not at all uncommon :) I do love going to all their games and cheering for them. Matthew and Miles tagged along like children #3 and #4. But, thank goodness the weather started to cooperate and they both loved being outside. I see very busy future years for us if the boys keep enjoying playing sports!
The same day baseball season started, we marked an end to spring soccer. Mason really got into playing soccer this season and Max started to get the hang of it by the end. Really, Max this year was more interested in watching the airplanes in the air and playing on the sidelines. But, I hear that is normal for the first year :) Even if they both don't stick with playing either sport I am really proud of how they stuck with the season, always ready for practice and games, and playing the season until the end. Not giving up! Hoping we're teaching some life lessons in this crazy schedule of ours!
Opening Day for Baseball
Miles enjoying the games. Matthew would rather be playing on the steps and in dirt!
