Happy 80th Papaw!

This past weekend we headed down to southern Indiana to celebrate my papaw's 80th birthday. I think we have been blessed to be able to spend so much time with our grandparents. Time we often take for granted. It is fun to see the family all together celebrating. We all live in so many different cities and have so many different obligations that it is becoming increasingly hard to all be together at the same time. This was one of those rare (but wonderful) opportunities. Happy Birthday Papaw!
Posing with Papaw Mac. They all loved looking at the camera at the same time :)

Had to add this one for the memory books. Max LOVES batman right now. Wants to wear his "cape" shirts almost constantly. Notice at the first chance he got he shucked the nice shirt to show the caped batman shirt beneath!

Brother-in-law love. They'll kill me for posting this one but it was too funny to resist.

To Protect and Serve

Right now Mason and Max are really into policeman. Well, let's be honest, anyone that drives a vehicle with sirens :) Firemen, ambulance drivers, policeman are commonly running around our house helping to protect our family from "bad guys". Mason mentioned he wanted to have a "policeman" party for his birthday this year and "tractor" Grandma found the cutest outfits. The boys LOVE them. Sorry Matthew, they didn't have one in your size (believe me we were all bummed!). I really do love these little guys in uniform!

Have I mentioned we love superheros around here?!!? This little guy has been flying around our house for the past few days!
Max looks so cute! Notice his batman slicers as the boys call them!
Couldn't forget this little guy! He may not be big enough for policeman action yet but they way he loves dinner time it won't be long!

Old or New, Friends are very Special

We are so blessed to have so many special people in our lives that care so much about our family. The boys have been equally as blessed to have made so many friends in this short period of their lives. Some friends live far, some near. Some we see often, some not as often as we would like. But, we hold all of them no matter what circumstance very close to our hearts! These photos are just a glimpse (or should I say the most recently taken) of a few of our friends :)

Snapshots of a day....

As you can imagine, our days around here are pretty busy. Never a dull moment :) I wanted to capture a day in pictures. Well, sort of. No pictures of grocery shopping, climbing in the car, undoing seatbelts, hauling kids to destination, climbing back into car, re-fastening seatbelts. You get the picture. Of course, I tried to pick the happy ones for documentation. Don't get me wrong, we have our share of tears, yelling and screaming. But, for looking back purposes, here's to the good times!
Morning snuggles :)

Oh no, now what!
