Virginia Beach Vacation

We are so grateful for the opportunity to go on a beach vacation with my parents, my sister and her family. The past years have been a bit crazy on my side of the family with new babies, moves, house remodeling and everything else that goes along with seven grand kids in six years. We get to spend holidays all together but sometimes that gets rushed with trying to get multiple different places to see all sides of each family, along with everything else that involves holidays. So, it was nice to get together for a week, away from the hustle of everyday life. We spent a lot of time corralling kids, playing at the beach and seeing the Virginia Beach attractions. It was a busy, fun, somewhat exhausting week but I wouldn't change anything. We even managed to get family pictures taken in there somewhere. More on those to come. Thanks again everyone for making memories! Here's a little glimpse of the week!

Packed up and ready to hit the road...

Hitting the beach...

Checking out the pier and boardwalk...

Max's shell that gave him POWER!

 It was a little windy!

A little putt-putt and some new pets (hermit crabs!)...

The Virginia Beach Aquarium....

Norfolk Naval Base...

We were so lucky my cousin, Danny, gave us a tour of the naval base. I had some pretty excited boys (Brad included!). Danny even gave the older kiddos (kiddos included that day my dad, John and Brad) a tour of an aircraft carrier complete with tour of flight deck. My boys couldn't have been more excited. Mom, Brandi, Mac, Matthew, Miles and I toured the dock while we waited.

A day at the beach with kites (thanks Grandma Barb)....

Yep, just another day at the beach...
(Not sure how Brad avoided all the pictures!)

 Can you say sand face!!
