4th of July

As the boys are getting older 4th of July is becoming so much fun.  They can actually (almost) stay awake for the fireworks show (I mean who can blame them, they don't start until 10?!!?), and we have moved into such a great neighborhood with great friends that make celebrating that much more fun!

Night of the fireworks. The boys were beginning to get a little sleepy by the end. We ended up meeting up with friends at the K of C building that has a wide open field to watch the fireworks. It was great. But, after an evening of running around playing and waiting for the fireworks these guys got a little tired. Matthew was a trooper. Awake until the end. All of them not even a bit scared of the noise!

Impromptu night of neighborhood driveway fireworks. It helps that there is a fireworks store available just down the street. Mason and Max loved the sparklers this year and did a great job with them. The "big" boys loved setting the fireworks on fire :) Matthew missed it all unfortunately. Snuggled up in his bed fast asleep. Not a peep from the sound. What a great boy!!

 Mason, Max and I went blueberry picking the weekend of the 4th. Thanks to our friend Lauren for taking us to her family's house for the picking festivities. Traci and her girls came along too and it was so fun watching the kiddos at work. They were done after about 30 minutes or so but we still managed a good loot of blueberries. They made delicious muffins! Hoping we can do it again soon!
