This is our first summer of t-ball. I'm suspecting that it won't be our last :) Mason is playing on a team of 4-5 year-olds that are hitting from a baseball tee and playing in the dirt during their time on the field. It is a bit hilarious to watch and Max is already stating that he is going to play when he gets big enough. I realize it must be hard to concentrate during field time when the ball never really ever gets hit past the pitchers mound and not every player can stand in one place. Although, I was proud of Mason and his third base playing skills at the last game. Once realizing the ball was hit in his direction he quit throwing the dirt in a nice pattern on the field and successfully stopped the ball and threw it towards first base! Proud momma!! Being that I grew up on the baseball fields during my summers as a kid I hope the boys enjoy it as much as I did. If not, we'll enjoy spending for however long it lasts summer nights watching these kiddos play in the dirt!
